It can be used repeatedly without the pathogen developing resistance; furthermore, it is systemically absorbed, yields excellent results, and is not washed off by rainfall or irrigation systems (such as fixed or center-pivot sprinklers).

Application should take place when infection is anticipated—based on favorable weather conditions and historical biological data regarding late blight in tomatoes or potatoes—or even after a low level of infection has appeared. It can be tank-mixed with Mancozeb to simultaneously treat early and late blight, particularly when weather conditions remain favorable for both diseases over extended periods (as often occurs at various times of the year). It is also effective against downy mildew fungi in numerous vegetable and fruit crops.

It is capable of controlling fungal strains that have developed resistance to Metalaxyl.

It is compatible with Integrated Pest Management (IPM) programs.
